Mahasin has a long and diverse experience in practicing law. She graduated in the University of Khartoum with LL.B (Hons.) in 1989. She further obtained an LL.M from the same university.

After qualifying as an advocate in 1990, Mahasin practiced in one of the leading law firms in Sudan. She then moved to Dubai and practiced there for a considerable period of time. She joined the firm in 2001 after working extensively in litigation and consultancy.

Mahasin leads the dispute resolution practice of the firm. She is interested in general commercial practice, corporate, banking, finance and arbitration. She has been appointed by the Khartoum Commercial Court as the official liquidator of leading aviation companies as well as a number of the leading industrial companies in insolvency proceedings.
