Ali Abdelrahman Khalil

Ali holds LL.B (Hons.), LL.M (Khartoum) and LLM from King’s College, University of London. He joined the firm as a trainee advocate in 2000 and qualified as an advocate in 2001. He worked for the firm as an associate until he became a partner in December 2004. Ali acquired a thorough and vast experience in practicing law especially in corporate, finance and general commercial law. He advised in a number of huge finance and corporate transactions. He leads the corporate and finance practice of the firm. Ali has been recently seconded to a Magic Circle law firm in London where he stayed for three months in their corporate and finance departments. Ali has been appointed recently as a Visiting Fellow at Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at Cambridge University and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg and as a Visiting Scholar at University of Durham Law School in the UK. He has also been chosen as an Honorary Overseas Member of the Commercial Bar Association of England and Wales in London. Ali is Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Khartoum where he teaches private international law and commercial law.
